Walking Liberty Half Mintages


The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was minted from 1916 to 1947. During this time period the mintages varied widely from a low of just 208,000 for the key date 1921-D Walking Liberty Half to a high of more than 50 million reached in 1943.

For coins issued from 1916 to 1917 the mint mark appears on the obverse of the coin below the motto "In God We Trust". For coins issued 1917 to 1947, the mint mark appears on the reverse of the coin to the left of the rocky ledge.
